Flying Eagles of Nigeria Head Coach Aliyu Zubairu has said that his team know what to expect when they come face-to-face with Burkina Faso in their opening Group B game of the U20 AFCON qualifiers in Togo.
The Flying Eagles will open their title defence on Friday afternoon against Young Stallions from Burkina Faso at the Municipal Stadium in Lome, Togo.
“We have information on both Burkina Faso and Cote d’Ivoire,” a confident coach Zubairu said.
“We have analysed both teams with the players, we know their weaknesses and strengths.”
Several of the players were promoted from the country’s U17s.
The Flying Eagles coach restated the team’s main target is to qualify for the U20 AFCON early next year in South Africa.
The team trained for the first time in Togo today, according to media officer Sharif Abdallah.
It was a workout at the Ominisport mini-stadium that lasted an hour and a half.
All 20 players who made the final cut trained and so no injury worries in camp.
They will train again tomorrow morning. As the match kick-off Friday by 3pm Nigeria time.
