Umahi commiserates with late Gen Lagbaja Family

The Minister of Works, Engr. Nweze David Umahi, has commiserated with the family of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Taoreed Lagbaja, over the unfortunate death of the Army Chief. This was disclosed in a statement by the
Special Adviser ( Media) to the Minister of Works Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji during the weekend.

He described the late Chief of Army Staff as a brilliant and dedicated officer who made legendary marks in his time as the Chief of Army Staff of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Minister of Works paid tribute to his profound records of outstanding gallantry while in the military forces and described him as a visionary Army Chief who worked with passion and commitment in achieving the goals of national defence and security and who contributed immensely to the protection of the territorial integrity of Nigeria and the management of Nigeria’s internal security.

He prayed for God’s unfailing compassion and fortitude to the family of the fallen officer at this moment of grief.
