Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Ondo State has strongly condemned Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s for using deteriorating infrastructures for the flagged off of the All Progressive Congress, APC, party campaign.

The State Publicity Secretary, SDP, Oyeniyi Iwakun, made this condemnation through a press statement which was released on Sunday.

Iwakun accuses Governor Aiyedatiwa for conducting the party flag off campaign in facilities with blown off roof which his administration had failed to repair.

The statement reads in part “We witnessed the height of irony as Governor Aiyedatiwa and APC members conducted their flag-off campaign at the Ondo town stadium – a facility with a blown-off roof that the administration has failed to repair. This neglect extends to the surrounding roads, particularly those leading to the General Hospital, which are riddled with potholes.

“We ask: How can a government that neglects basic infrastructure maintenance claim to serve the people’s interests? The governor’s willingness to use these dilapidated facilities for political gatherings while failing to address their sorry state is a slap in the face to Ondo State citizens. It perfectly illustrates the disconnect between APC’s grand promises and their actions in office.

“We call on the people of Ondo State to take note: under APC leadership, our infrastructure crumbles while our leaders engage in political theatrics. The evidence of APC’s failure is visible in every pothole and every leaking roof across our great state.

“As the saying goes, “APC na scam.” The people of Ondo deserve better than empty promises and photo ops in decaying structures”.
