Ondo Guber: Aiyedatiwa declares Friday work free-day

In a bid to facilitate more participation in the Ondo State November 16 governorship election, the state governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has declared a work-free for all public servants in the state.

The work-free day is intended to enable public servants to return to their respective communities to fulfil their civic duties and cast their votes in the election.

The Ondo State Government emphasised the importance of this day in ensuring that citizens can participate fully in the democratic process.

In a circular issued on Wednesday, the Permanent Secretary of the Office of the Head of Service, O. F. Ayodele, directed all Accounting Officers across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to inform their staff about the development.

“All Accounting Officers are to note the content of this Circular and disseminate same to all staff of their respective ministries, departments and agencies,” the statement read.
