The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) has called on its members to rise to the task of
adopting evolving strategies and solutions that will empower and equip them to make their schools stronger and better to face the challenges of education.
The President of NAPPS, Dr Samira Jibir, made the call Tuesday in Abuja at the 17th annual NAPPS conference, with the theme: “Transformational Education: Pathways Amidst VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous) Circumstances and Environments”.
She said that the two- day event will enable the participants to learn and explore different ways to drive transformation in their various schools as the conference is aimed at exploring new systems of education that would benefit the students and the society.
Education industry is experiencing unprecedented change and our role as school leaders is continuously shaped by forces beyond our to control. In a world where challenges appear as fast as we find solutions, we are called to explore what the future of school business truly looks like.
“How can we, as school owners today, how can we innovate and perhaps most importantly, how can we ensure that the schools we lead today will thrive for the benefit of a future generation? Yet, these challenges also offer us incredible opportunities.
“In times of change, transformational education becomes not just a need but a necessity. To the students that are building our classrooms, they have to face a world that demands agility, resilience and a lifelong passion for learning. Qualities that are nurtured in environments where transformational education is embraced.
She pointed out that in their revamping efforts, they have transitioned from being an oversized load truck to a streamlined technology driven vehicle.
“This transformation underscores our dedication to enhancing our school’s technological track records, building capacity for our teachers, fostering skills acquisition for our students and advancing data management while striving for financial transparency”.
She further said that the association is determined to work with the public and private sectors’ leaders in the education ecosystem contextualizing their benchmarks and excellence despite the volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous circumstances and environment.
