Ex- international, Nwankwo Kanu has called on the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, to hire Augustine Eguavoen as substantive head coach of the Super Eagles.
Eguavoen was appointed caretaker coach of the Super Eagles in September.
The Super Eagles have won three and drawn one of their four 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures under his tutelage.
Kanu claimed the former defender has done enough to lead the team.
The Enyimba chairman told Brila FM that, “If I were the NFF President, I’d have given him the job by now.
“What are they waiting for? Are we waiting for him to lose two matches before we say he should go? This is overdue; they have to act.”
