Gov Radda tours to improve primary healthcare services

Gov Dikko Radda of Katsina state has conducted a comprehensive tour to primary healthcare centres across the state. The tour is aimed at developing more functional health care facilities and strengthen the expertise of its workforce.

During the inspection visit at health facilities in Matazu and Kankia local government areas, Governor Radda disclosed ongoing efforts to recruit medical professionals that will enhance quality service delivery within the state’s healthcare sector.

Governor Radda commends the staffs’ effort at Matazu comprehensive health centre, for maintaining a clean environment, and also promised to release funds for the completion of abandoned police station at Rimaye town of Kankia LGA and directed the council chairman to submit an official request for the renovation to commence.

During the tour, Governor Radda also paid visits to primary healthcare centres in Abukur, Lambar Rimi Charanchi, Koda, Kafinsoli, Gyaza, Karaduwa, and Jikamshi. He reiterated his commitment to improving healthcare accessibility and quality across the state.

While in Koda, Governor Radda announced the approval of the upgrade of Koda Primary Health Centre to a Comprehensive Health Centre. He added that efforts were underway to upgrade Kafinsoli Primary Health Centre, including the construction of a perimeter wall and the provision of additional medical facilities.

Furthermore, the Governor informed residents of Kafinsoli that the replacement of their transformer had been authorised to improve power supply and meet critical needs of their community.

Nigerian PILOT learnt that the comprehensive tour to various health centres in the state, has reaffirms the current administration’s dedication to understanding and addressing the needs of each community.
