Businessman tasks Benue leaders on devt, patronising Indigenous entrepreneurs

The Managing Director of Harrypee Logistics  Company, Mr Peter Tombo Haakyav has tasked Benue State Leaders on the need to develop the state and patronise people from state who are entrepreneurs. 

Mr Haakyav stated this in a video posted on his verified social media handles, stressing that the call was necessary to help the state from further underdeveloping.

The international business man who is into car purchase and hiring, air transportation, security services, housing and general corporate business at large, called for the development of the state.

He added that most Tiv political leaders who are elected or appointed prefer to consult and patronise people who are not from Tiv, or Benue, querying how will the people grow?

“In the days of Governor Akume, I was not into full business but from governors Suswam, Ortom and governor Alia, I have been into international businesses and nobody has really given me any opportunity.”

Mr Haakyav maintained that, Benue should patronise its sons and urging the Secretary to the Government of the Federation to address the things affecting the state by chasing away the people with him who don’t empower the people. 

The CEO of Harrypee Group also noted that former governor Suswam tried but the governors can do better, calling on the present administration in the state to patronise Benue indigens.

“The cry is not all about Harrypee Group  but the state populace at large,for am very okay.”

Mr Haakyav further said, aside Benue State, he has nowhere to call his state, appealing to the minister of Water Resourses to also make jobs available for Benue people. 

“I don’t how it’s been done but am sure the minister can do it.”

The CEO also called on the youth to be united as better days await them, adding, we must remain united and work for the growth of the state but first of all, the political class must patronise our business.”
