Former President Obasanjo, Makinde, others to be in Osun for Gov Adeleke’s 2nd year anniversary

As Governor Ademola Adeleke, celebrates his second year in office, Osun State capital, will play host to dignitaries like former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, Minister of Aviation, Barrister Festus Keyamo, Minister of Works, David Umahi, former Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt Honourable Olubunmi Eteh, national stakeholders as well as prominent indigenes of the state.

Nigerian Pilot recalls that Governor Adeleke was sworn in as the 6th elected governor of Osun, on Sunday, November 27, 2022.

As the governor began the celebration of two years of his administration in office, activities have been lined up for the event which began on Friday, November 22 with Jumma’at service at Osogbo Central Mosque.

According to the Anniversary Committee led by Alhaji Teslim Igbalaiye who is currently the Secretary to the State Government while addressing newsmen on the anniversary’s activities at the State Government House, highlighted the media’s significant role in both critiquing and amplifying the government’s achievements, noting that Governor Adeleke has accomplished milestone often associated with four-year term in just two years.

The Osun SSG said, the celebrations, set to run from now until December, will feature several high-profile events.

Key highlights of the celebration according to Igbalaiye include, “Commissioning of the Old Garage, Oke-Fia, Lameco Expressway by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

“Expanded Ipade Imole (a town hall meeting) Commissioning of Ring Road by Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, “Lunch with President Obasanjo. State Broadcast by Governor Adeleke. Commissioning of numerous projects across the 30 Local Government Areas as well as Commissioning of Iresi Township Roads by the Governor “.

The celebrations are expected to showcase Governor Adeleke’s developmental strides and underscore his commitment to transforming Osun State withing his tenure.
