Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, Lere Oyewumi has said that welfare of his constituents has always been his priority as he again empowered women across the senatorial district through a comprehensive skill acquisition training program.
This initiative, aimed at bolstering economic resilience and creating sustainable opportunities, reflects Senator Oyewumi’s commitment to equipping citizens with practical skills amidst challenging economic times.
While addressing the participants over the weekend, Senator Oyewumi who is representing Osun West Senatorial District said, “From the moment I took my place in the National Assembly, I am continuously motivated and guided by the desire to see that our constituency becomes sustainable developed.
“Let me reiterate it loud and clear that I am passionately committed to serving you my good people and facilitating those things that will make life more meaningful to my constituents in particular, the good people of Osun West Senatorial District, Osun State and Nigeria as a whole.

Senator Oyewumi, underscored the significance of skill acquisition in tackling the country’s economic challenges. “At a time when the economy is struggling, providing our people, especially women, with valuable skills is critical.
“Empowerment through training is the solution our nation needs to cultivate economic independence and stability,” he stated.
Senator Oyewumi, encouraged the women to make the most of the training, emphasizing the importance of self-reliance and entrepreneurial spirit.
The Ikire born politician also highlighted the role of women in economic development, noting that empowering women ultimately leads to stronger families and more resilient communities.
