Miss Nollywood international role out one year development plans, solicits media support

Newly crowned Miss Nollywood international beauty Queen Hassana Ozohu Salisu has drafted a one year development plans to transform the movie industry in Nigeria and to ensure that lives are impacted across the six geopolitical zones of the Country.

Miss Salisu disclosed this on Sunday when she met with members of the correspondent Chapel, Nigeria Union Journalists, Kogi State Council.

The 11th winner of Miss Nollywood international beauty pageant disclosed that within one year, she intends to discover new talents in the movie industry that will serve as role models for a united Nigeria.

The beauty Queen, while soliciting for support from the media to achieve her goals noted that, she will be championing a course with the slogan “for the love of my nation”.

“I intends to break history as Miss Nollywood international in Nigeria. Within one year, I intends to visit correctional centres, schools, hospitals, embarked on rehabilitation of road projects by filling 64,000 pot holes, empower thousands of Youths, Women, ensure that the rights of our young Girls are protected. This and many more will be achieved in the next one year.

“Why I intend to champion the slogan, “for the love of my nation” is because there is need for everyone of us to love our Nation personally. When you do that, collectively, we will say no to corruption, ethnic divisibility, hatred, hate speech, kidnapping, armed robbery, sex for mark, nepotism, examination malpractices, illicit intake of hard drugs and other social vices.

“Am appealing to the media, which is the fourth estate of the realm to support my vision in ensuring that we achieve the Nigeria of our dream. We should take note that, it is not just about the movie industry, nollywood , but it goes beyond this. The image of our Country should be protected by all and sundry with the way and manner we are doing or reacting to things before us”.

Miss Salisu asserted that her door is widely open for collaboration stressing that, impacting lives and giving back to the society has been her driving force over the years.

Also speaking, the Manager of Miss Nollywood international beauty Queen , appointed yesterday who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer, (CEO) of Omedia Nigeria Limited Orits Gee described his client as an epitome of beauty, knowledge and young Philanthropist whose contributions to the society has been widely felt by the People.

According to him, “Miss Hassana Ozohu Salisu is a symbol of hope for our younger generations. This is a young girl who was determined to achieve this fit. She went to that competition in Bayelsa State with the determination of making Kogi State proud. And now, She has done it. Am not surprised with the plans She has drafted in the next one year to change things for the better.

“All she needed from you journalists seated here today is to give her the needed publicity of all her activities in the next one year. I strongly believe that , together, we can build a better nation”.

Responding, Chairman, Correspondent Chapel, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kogi State Council, Segun Salami, disclosed that the body is ready to work with the newly crowned Miss Nollywood international for her to succeed in her new assignment.

It could be recalled that, in a dazzling display of beauty, talent, and empowerment, Hassana Ozohu Salisu was crowned the Miss Nollywood International Beauty Queen for 2024 Competing against a formidable pool of 18 contestants from across Nigeria.

Miss Salisu, a vibrant representative of the beautiful people of Kogi State, traveled from Abuja to Bayelsa to compete in this prestigious pageant.

Born on November 24, 1998, an under graduate of mustapha agwai polithecnic,she is currently making significant strides in her academic and professional endeavors.

Her qualifications include a certificate from the Chartered Institute of Procurement Studies (2021-2023) and a diploma in Filmmaking from Mina Film Academy.

She recently completed a certification in Transitional Film Projects from Bournemouth University London in 2023, and is pursuing further education in journalism.

Hassana, the first child in a family of six from the Salisu Ajoges family, embodies not just beauty but a robust commitment to her community and industry.

She is the founder of the Sallhassy Empowerment Foundation, which has successfully launched two humanitarian projects over the past years.

She leads Sallhassy Empire Entertainment, managing over 130 actors in the film industry, showcasing her dedication to uplifting the creative community.

She is also the chairperson of the Northern filmmakers association of Nigeria Abuja state chapter.

During the pageant, Salisu’s responses to questions highlighted her genuine passion for the film industry and her determination to bring about positive change in society. Her vision for collaboration and support reflects her commitment to giving back to her community.

The Miss Nollywood International pageant, now in its 11th edition, is regarded as one of Nigeria’s most prestigious beauty competitions.
